The Cia Moveo has created a new show for public, non-conventional spaces as well as theatres.
“Echoes” is part of the recommended shows in the catalog of the Department of Culture of Catalonia (Programa.cat) and the Circuit SAREA of the Basque Country
Synopsis
The new production of Cia Moveo, which coincides with its 15th anniversary, is the third part of a trilogy dedicated to the relationship between reality and fiction.
The first show of this trilogy, Tu vas tomber! (2015), was awarded the Best Show prize at the Feria Internacional de Huesca’15 and the Mais Award at the Imaginarius International Festival (Portugal). The second, Consequences (2017), won the Moritz Prize at FiraTàrrega 2017 and the Dansacat Award 2020 and has been touring internationally for three years.
Echoes premiered at the Festival d’Arts de Carrer de La Mercè 2020 and evokes in a playful and ironic way the desire for individuality and the connections/interdependencies that exist between us, expressed through a deeply physical language that blends theatre, dance, and acrobatics, creating a collective experience.
Where do our actions, thoughts, and desires come from? Are they our own or are they echoes of the world around us?
